In an attempt to complete a ten page paper, do and reply to four discussion boards, and finish a biology lab all in one night, my sanity did not seem that it was a high priority. Trying to make sure there is enough money for the week, there is enough gas in both vehicles, and still making time for the women I love, it almost seemed impossible. Don't even think about throwing in family and friends. The beginning of the semester is one of the most stressful and overwhelming times in a college students life, and it is extremely difficult to get a grip on things. During these times, making time for biblical reflection and prayer is one of the most difficult things to do. Through all of the boisterous, hectic aspects that were seeming to overtake my life, I was blessed enough to experience one of the most surreal, eye-opening events. Although I am an older sibling, I had never truly experienced an event as beautiful as the birth of a baby. I was blessed enough to experience the birth of a new baby cousin, Rhett Phillip Williams, on August 16th. Seeing the supremacy and depth of the birth of a new life, being there when this new life opens their eyes to see light for the first time, this was truly astonishing. Seeing how life is stitched together into a perfect, beautiful being that was fabricated from the ultimate creator, these are the experiences that make the tedious problems of life worth while. The birth of a baby, a wedding dance, an unspoken prayer, a new years toast, a family dinner, these are the things that truly matter in our lives.
